Thursday 24th September

Good morning Wrens,

I hope you are all well and keeping safe. Today's work will consist of Phonics, English, Maths and if you didn't have time yesterday you can finish your poster for RE.

Phonics

Use the powerpoint to recap the phase 3 sounds

Use the ticky words to play stand up bingo - she, we, me, they

Focusing on the 'ai' sound, can you read these words - rain, slaid*, paid, train, caid*, failing

Write any other words with the 'ai' sound in

English

Yesterday I asked you to create your own character for Bog Baby. This could have been a drawing, playdough model or using any creative bits you had laying around the house.

Using your model, I want you to write labels for each of the body part. For example, boggle eyes, yellow body, stripey tail.

Extension - use your captions to write full sentences.

Remember - your writing should include capital letters, finger spaces, phonics for sounding out and full stops.

Maths

This week we have been focusing on number bonds to 10. We now know number bonds to 10 are all the numbers when added together make 10.

To continue with our addition, we are going to look at adding numbers to find the total, focusing on numbers up to 20. This is going to be done using the tens frame and part part whole model which we used yesterday. I have added a worksheet.

Remember, when we add numbers we are finding how many altogether. You might want to use objects like you did yesterday to help you or draw pictures to represent the numbers.

RE

If you haven't completed it, yesterdays work has the RE task for you to complete today.
