Sock Challenge

We all wear socks, and know that they are very useful for keeping our feet warm. But can you think of any other uses for a sock? You will need to think about the type of material from which a sock is made, and the properties of the material. Is the material stretchy or firm? Is it hard or soft? Is it waterproof, non waterproof or absorbent? Is it tansparent or opaque? Is it warm or cool?

Think about the properties and see if you can find 10 uses for a sock, explaining why you think the sock would work for what you choose. Make a list of your ideas (or try them out and take photos) and bring them to school to show your teachers when we are back.

Have fun with your socks!
