STEM ACTIVITIES
The Starters for STEM that I have added below are activities that you can do at home with your grown ups. They will help you to develop your your Science, technology, engineering and maths skills, as well as helping you to think about how to solve problems and to talk about the world that is around you. Any materials you might need to complete these activities you will be able to find at home.
The activities include growing plants from the seeds of fruits you eat, building bridges for your cars out of different materials, making towers out of ice cubes, finding out about how your body works, listening to all the sounds around, worm charming, origami, expanding gummi bears, making an instrument that sounds like a chicken and many more.
While you are doing the activities, you can sing 'We're Living and Learning' together with your grown ups.
Have fun with the activities, and let me know how you get on. Which activity is your favourite one?

Hi Everyone!
On Friday, our butterflies emerged from the chrysalides! On the pictures you can see the empty Chrysalides. It was amazing to see them emerging from the chrysalides and starting to pump their wings ready for flying. Over the next few days they used their tongues to suck up juice from oranges and apples and drank sugary water (which represents nectar) from a tissue. Today we set the butterflies free to be in their natural environment. We hope you like the pictures.
