KS1 Maths

We have developed our own unique Maths teaching overview from the National Curriculum programmes of study and White Rose Maths. Our overview shows the teaching sequence and ensures all objectives are covered across the year. Throughout each unit of learning the children have opportunities to apply their knowledge and deepen their mathematical understanding and problem solving skills.

We are developing a Mastering Number approach to teaching maths and are currently taking part in the Mastering Number Programme across school. This supports children to develop fluency with key mathematical knowledge from Reception to Year 2.
