Fun Science from home
Hi everyone!
Over the next few weeks, I thought it would be fun if we could all do some fun Science from home. To help you with this, I will be asking a big question for you to think about each week, as well as an idea for an investigation that you can do at home with your grown ups. It would be lovely if you commented about what you have found, and if you can show a picture of your investigation, that would be great!
Remember that Science should be fun!
This week's big question:
What time does it go dark at night? Will this change next week? Why is this?
This week's investigation
Making bubbles
Bubble mixture can be made using ingredients in the house. Here is one recipe that you could try:
2 cups Washing Up Liquid
1 tsp Glycerine or Cooking Oil
1 cup Water
Try making your own bubble wands - you could use pipe cleaners, hangers, straws, colanders. What shape bubbles can you blow? Which shape wand makes the best bubbles? Do big bubbles or small bubbles last longer?
Have fun with your bubbles, and let me know how you get on with them. I wonder who will make the biggest bubble?
Don't forget that singing always make you feel happier, so see if you can teach your grown ups to sing 'I'm a Spring Chicken' while you are busy bubble making!
See you all soon
