Have you ever wondered how big the Earth is? The National Schools' Observatory (NSO) and the Royal Astronomical Society are giving you the opportunity to help find out. All you will need to do this are:
- a long, straight stick - it can be a pencil, a dowel, a pole, but the longer and straighter the better
- a measuring tape to measure the length of your stick
- a sunny, open space
