Science Fun at Home

More Science fun at home

Good morning! I hope that you all had a lovely half term and are now ready to try some more fun science activities at home. I have put the links to 2 more science activities that you can do with your grown ups using items that you can find in or around your house.

10) Scavenger - you can fun with this activity, finding items either in your house or outside in your garden or in the park, and make a shelter that will keep your favourite toy dry in the rain that has now arrived. You will need to think about the properties of the different materials you find, and consider whether they are waterproof, not waterproof or absorbent (which means that they will soak up a lot of water, but the water will start to drip through after a while).

Have a go at making a shelter and take photographs to show your teachers when wwe are back in school.

11) Body Science - find out about the different parts of your body, and investigate whether the statements made on the sheet about your body are true or false. Have a go at drawing around your body and labelling all the parts of it. Do you know what is inside your body? Can you label what is inside? If you don't know, how do you think you could find out?

If you haven't got enough paper to draw around your own body, draw around a doll and label it. Don't forget to keep your drawing to show your teachers when we come back.

Have fun with your science at home!
