Key Stage 1 Foundation Subject Learning
Welcome to our Foundation Subject page!
Our Foundation Subject curriculum is referred to as 'Themed Learning' in school. The following subjects are taught within the themes:
History
Geography
Art and Design
Design Technology
Our curriculum themes run over a 2 year cycle to ensure that content is not repeated for children who are in our mixed age classes. On your child's class page you will find the Themed Learning Web which will give you further detail regarding the subject content studied and the outcomes the children are working towards.
Foundation Subject Curriculum
Our Foundation Subject Curriculum has been designed to build upon previously taught knowledge and skills as the children move throughout key stage 1. Our subject overviews start at Nursery and end at year 2 to demonstrate the links between knowledge and learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum.
