British Values
At Ribbleton Avenue Infant School we take great pride in promoting British Values. The Government set out its definition of British Values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy and these values have been reiterated once again through the new National Curriculum which was developed in 2014.
The 5 British Values are:
- Democracy
- Tolerance of different faiths and beliefs
- Mutual Respect
- Individual Liberty
- Rule of Law
We have been learning all about British Values and made our own school values from our research.
Our 4 school values are:
- Respect
- Pride
- Good Citizen
- Equality & Friendship
We have a values assembly each week where we give out certificates for each value.
When we have a certificate for all 4 values we receive the Ribbleton Award!
